George A. Romero's Day of the Dead is being revived as a 4K collector's edition to celebrate its 40th anniversary, and not only does it come with a 4K restoration of the film, but it's full of great bonus features. If that has you reaching for your wallet already, the good news is this edition is now available to preorder at select retailers (see it here at Amazon, where it's also 16% off to $45.99).
The wait to add it to your physical media library isn't too bad, either, as it's set to be released on June 16. If, like me, you're a big fan of horror movies, it's one that definitely deserves a spot in your collection, but be quick: Collector's editions can sell out fast, so better to grab a copy now than wait and miss out.
Preorder Day of the Dead 4K Collector’s Edition
- See at Amazon - $45.99
- See at Walmart - $59.98
At the moment, the 4K collector's edition of Day of the Dead is available at both Amazon and Walmart. However, Amazon has it listed for a little bit cheaper at $45.99, compared to Walmart's $59.98, which in my opinion is a deal that's certainly still worth taking advantage of while it's available.
Day of the Dead 4K Collector’s Edition Bonus Features and Extras
This release is quite the pick-up for collector's, too. Housed in a striking slipcase with great Bub the zombie artwork, you'll get the film on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray, alongside a whole bunch of bonus features to watch (including a feature-length documentary) and a collection of lobby cards, which you can see below.
The documentary is but one exciting bonus feature to look forward to, though. From audio commentaries to interviews and much more, there's a whole lot to dig into. Have a look at the full list of bonus features below:
